ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The department of “CIVIL ENGINEERING” was started in the year 2009 with an intake of 60 students. A separate block is provided to develop the department as an independent entity with full potential and centre of excellence. The department has established the basic infrastructure viz., Computer programming lab, Engineering Physics lab, Engineering Chemistry lab, English language communication skills lab, Mechanical engineering work shops and Information Technology workshops. These laboratories are fully equipped with apparatus, devices, the necessary tools and other connected equipment as per the norms of the JNTU and stipulations of AICTE. Well furnished class rooms are provided and created academic environment. In addition, this department is connected to E-class rooms with a fixed LCD projector with 2 Mbps speed internet connection.

          The department has not only the dedicated and experienced faculty of both teaching and non teaching, but also well furnished staff rooms provided to accommodate the staff. Later in the second year, the Lateral Entry Students are also admitted to increase the students’ strength. In tune with the year-wise curriculum this department has established Strength of Material lab and Surveying lab and imparting the desired practical knowledge and also concentrating on further developing of enlisted laboratories of JNTU. As a matter of academic progress, bestowing the enlisted laboratories as per JNTU framed syllabus, systematically.
